Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ViralVisions Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Golden XI game and website (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

The short version

Golden XI is a free game. You can play without creating an account or giving us your name or email. Our mobile apps show ads through Google AdMob to keep the game free; the website does not. We don't use other third-party analytics or tracking, and we never sell your data. We collect only what's needed to run the game, save your streak, show leaderboards, and serve those ads.

Information we collect

Anonymous account identifier. When you first post a score, we create an anonymous account through our authentication provider. It is a random identifier stored on your device. It is not linked to your real-world identity, and we do not ask for an email, phone number, or password.

Display name / handle (optional). If you choose to appear on a leaderboard, you may enter a handle. A handle is publicand visible to other players. Don't use your full legal name or any information you want kept private.

Gameplay data. The lineups you draft, your scores, grades, win/loss records, daily results, and streaks, so we can show your results and rank leaderboards.

Device storage.We use your browser's local storage to remember your session and recent results on your device. This is not advertising tracking.

Technical and log data. Our hosting and database providers automatically process standard technical information (such as IP address, device and browser type, and timestamps) to operate the Service, maintain security, and prevent abuse. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles.

Communications. If you email us, we receive your message and email address to respond.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your real name, email address (unless you email us), phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or payment information. Tips made through Ko-fi are processed entirely by Ko-fi — we never see your card details.

How we use information

To provide and improve the game; to save and display your results, streaks, and leaderboard rankings; to keep the Service secure and prevent cheating, spam, or abuse; to filter offensive handles; and to respond to your messages.

Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where the GDPR applies, we process data under our legitimate interests in operating a secure, functional game; on the basis of your consent where you choose to post a public handle; and to comply with legal obligations.

How information is shared

Service providers. We use Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting) to run the Service. They process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies.

Public leaderboards. Handles and the associated results you submit are displayed publicly.

Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or us.

We do notsell or rent your personal information. Aside from the advertising identifiers used by Google AdMob in our mobile apps (see “Advertising” below), we do not share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Advertising

To keep Golden XI free, our mobile apps show ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure those ads, Google and its partners may collect and process device and usage information — including a device advertising identifier (such as Apple's IDFA or the Android Advertising ID), app interactions, coarse (approximate) location, and standard device data — and may use it to show personalized or non-personalized ads. The Golden XI website does not show ads.

Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy & Terms. On iOS we ask whether to allow tracking (App Tracking Transparency), and in the EEA/UK you see a consent prompt before any personalized ads. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier any time in your device settings, and you can decline tracking without losing access to the game.

Data retention

We keep leaderboard and gameplay data for as long as the Service operates or until you ask us to delete it. You can clear local data at any time by clearing your browser storage or deleting the app.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email support@thegoldenxi.com. Because accounts are anonymous, we may ask for information (such as your handle and recent results) to locate your data. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Online features, including posting a public handle, are intended for users 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

We operate in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. We'll revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be posted here.
